BIOGRAPHY
Kenneth A. Leonard was born in Kansas in 1908. In Rye his family lived at 525 Milton Rd. Kenneth served as an officer in the U.S. Army during World War II.
Col. Kenneth Leonard
Enlistment Date 1: 27 Jun 1936 Release Date 1: 17 Jun 1954
Col. Kenneth A. Leonard, 68, St. Simons Island, Ga., formerly of Rock Island, died Nov. 14 in a hospital in Brunswick, Ga. Services and burial took place on St. Simons Island.
Col. Leonard was born in Kansas. He moved to Rock Island as an infant and received his education here. He served in the Army during World War II and also in the Officers Reserves.
Col. Leonard had lived in Rye, N.Y., and was employed by the New York Telephone Co., retiring eight years ago. :
Survivors include the widow, Ailene, two sons, two grandchildren ; a brother, Richard, Milan, and a sister, Mrs. Phyllis Huff, Molin.
